Make it large

Large things are awesome.

When done properly, those oversized ornaments and stars and wreaths can be very a stunning feature in your home. For your tree, hang large silver ornaments and silver stars and never be afraid that you might overdo it. Just arrange them evenly over the tree and that they will look really nice.

Bigger decorations generally cost a bit more, but keep in mind that you won’t need as many as for the smaller ones. Plan ahead and buy next years at this year’s Boxing Day Sales.

Stick with a Theme

Sticking to a theme, up to 3 basic colours will emphasizes the design of your tree and  makes it easier to create a spectacular effect. Silver is a very versatile colour and can be paired with mostly every Christmas-themed colour like green or red or blue will give you a stunning effect. Don’t be tempted to add too many colours as you will water down the visual effect and it will become wishy-washy.

What is a Christmas tree without a Christmas lights?

Lights give life to your tree; they serve as the channel to combine your decorations smoothly with the tree. Complement the colour of your bulbs to the ornaments and other decorations you put in your holiday tree. Shiny decorations reflect your Christmas lights combining it with other decorations creating a really nice visual effect.

Add a natural look
Nature-themed Christmas decorations are great additions to your tree. Pinecones, dried leaves or bunches of branches and twigs sprayed with gold or silver paint, leafy garlands are great for making your decorations tree look more natural.
