How to clean your cork flooring? Here are our simple suggestions:

Spot Cleaning

Spills are always unexpected incidents. When liquid spills occur, wipe them off quickly with absorbent towel or soft cloth. Cork flooring is highly durable and moisture-resistant but cork flooring is a type of wooden flooring that due to its natural characteristics, tends to absorb liquid too if not removed.

Spot cleaning also prevents staining your cork flooring. It is very effective but needs to be done as soon as possible after the spill occurs to prevent staining.

Regular Sweeping and Vacuuming

Sweeping is a basic cleaning process and gives very effective result when done on a regular basis. It prevents dirt and dust from piling making them harder to remove. Daily sweeping also removes abrasive particles that may cause scratches on your cork flooring when stepped and dragged into your floor’s surface.

Vacuuming is also a great alternative to sweeping. Do it weekly and always use soft brush attachments.

Damp Mopping

Use only recommended a natural cleaner or solution as per the manufacturer instructions because harsh chemicals and many cleaning products can potentially cause damage to your cork flooring. Damp mopping your cork flooring once a month or as required after you have vacuumed to remove all lose particulars will ensure you floor is keep in good condition. Please keep in mind when damp mopping, you need wring the mop head properly and over a large area change your water regularly to ensure you are not spreading the dirt from one area to another.
