How to fix a scratch on your bamboo floor?

Things you will need include:
- Damp paper towels
- Wood putty/surface filler
- Fine grit sandpaper
- Masking tape
- Foam brush
- Polyurethane

- Wipe down the floor near the scratches with the damp paper to check if there are more scratches you might have missed. Note the other scratches and clean them the same way. Allow the floor to dry first or wipe it with a dry paper towel.
- Mask the flooring around the scratched area using a masking tape. Be sure to mask it properly to safeguard the unscratched area while making the scratches completely accessible.
- Apply a small amount of wood putty. Be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions for better results. Don’t forget to rub away excess fillers using a damp paper towel and let it dry.
- Sand the putty carefully to create a smooth surface. If the putty has sunken down, apply another layer of putty, let it dry thoroughly and sand it again.
- Remove the tape around the area and apply polyurethane sealer to the filled scratch and on the surrounding areas with a foam brush. Remember to let the surface dry thoroughly before walking on it again.
